    Stopping Intro After One Loop

Shozam runs the Intro continuously and I wished there was no setting to allow it to run once only.  In the themes with 9 images cycling one on the screen at a time, it would be nice to stop the Intro at the ninth or final image if you are doing a custom Intro .swf.  This would be useful if you wanted to finish the Intro with a custom image that has information on it to provide the visitor.

Looking at the code on the index.htm page, this can be done with some modifications. To do this, you need to change the code in the appropriate locations by adding the below changes:

    1. 'loop','false',

    2. <param name="loop" value="false" />

    3. loop="false"

Remember, if you do change the code, you will have to change it again after each generation of the gallery before upload.

Below are 2 examples of it in action. Both Intro's were created using CoffeCup Firestarter but the changes work fine using Shozam's Intros.

USO of Northern Ohio - Simple compilation using 7 images.

Support Our Troops - This one plays the U.S. National Anthem and pauses at the 7th image while the .mp3 plays.  It then fades as the .mp3 ends and the last image appears.

View the source code of the index.htm pages to see where the changes are made to get it to work.

If it ain't broke... fix it until it is!

If you have never seen Our USMC Silent Drill Team, you need to watch it here in a one of my Shozam galleries: http://www.ohiowebs.net/usmc

Re: Stopping Intro After One Loop

Cowboy, I see you are still at it. I got busy some time in April and I have not come up for breath since. I got a personal e-mail from someone asking a question and it made me think to check back in to see how the group is still Shozaming and let you know, "I ain't dead yet!"  although after some of the harder days, I feel like it. I must have missed some Shozam downloads of new templates. I liked the loop stopping idea.

While my daughter is still a student, I have been considering the purchase of some Adobe software and the web package is very appealing. Now if I just had the time to learn Dreamweaver so I could dump Frontpage and Expression.

Keep up the good work, I'll check back in next time I come up for air.

    The old guy!
