    V 1.3.36.0

Downloaded and installed newest version.  I made some minor changes to a gallery. When I went to generate the gallery (generate modified files only" boxed was checked) this message came up: Gallery folder will refresh. Older files will be overwritten and external files will be deleted. Continue?

The word "deleted" always makes me think something I might want will disappear. What are the "external" files the message is referring to? Everything seemed normal and I don't see any missing files.

As usual I backed up my gallery and all relevant files before generating the gallery. Just a habit I've gotten into.

    Re: V 1.3.36.0

Downloaded and tested .36 also. Using XP.

Created a new gallery without any problems using different folder name then title.  Worked fine.

Then, tried it on a custom themed gallery where I use a custom banner image with banner title hid in the theme.css.  I was able to generate it to the original folder with a much longer title for SEO.  Worked fine.  The longer title was there and it did not modify my theme.css so the banner title was still hid.

Now, with this new field for the longer title, how about a check box to hide the banner title only in the gallery?  Would be a lot quicker for those who use custom banner images.Wink

Yes all for that, make it easy to use a custom banner  check box to hide the banner title.

A fix for no title The just released update Shozam version 1.3.36 makes this really simple by allowing you not to have a gallery title at all. You can now leave emtpy the Gallery Title field in Step 5; that's it!

    Re: V 1.3.36.0

Tom, we tried to be more explicit about what Shozam does. Each time Shozam generates a modified gallery, it will delete folders which it considers not needed any longer so it can get rid of any deleted albums. It first evaluates which are the folders it needs to have in the root, based on the active gallery settings, and then it will delete any other folders it may find in the root. This happens each time regardless of the "generate modified files only" checkbox state.

This will afect you only if you copy some other folders into the Shozam gallery root. Outside files placed in the root will be OK, just not folders. If you really need to have some external folders, the hack would be to palce them into one of the Shozam generated folders, like in the "scripts" folder.

    Rick/Cowboy,

Indeed, you can leave the Gallery Title out for an easy way to 'hide' it. However, leaving the field blank will mean that the page HTML will not have the <title> tag filled in, which may have an impact on SEO. Given this, for savvy users the recommended way is still entering the Gallery Title and then using the CSS to hide it from being displayed in the banner.
