Shozam! was initially conceived as a major upgrade to Web Gallery Wizard. However, after a year and a half of development, it became a whole new product. It keeps some of the same functionality and ease of use but it is re-written in great part to add a whole new set of features. Shozam! is compatible with WGW, meaning that one can import WGW galleries into Shozam! and the new program will "read" them and convert them into the new format. The reverse is not true. The new Shozam! themes have a different format as well so WGW themes cannot be used in Shozam!. However, the new product provides a powerful theme editor. Also Shozam! is sold into several different editions, rather than the "Standard" and "PRO" that WGW was available in.
