    global target:_blank possible? Advanced Version

I just created my first galleries and have a question - the answer to which would make life even simpler than Shozam has already made it!

I opened my gallery index pages in Dreamweaver and changed several of the links so that they open in a new window.

However, from what I can see, I have to make the change in each and every image page so that this will also work in Details and Large views.  I don't think I'll be doing that for 500+ images. Is there not a navigation bar snippet or template where one change would affect all the image pages?

Am I missing something? (I'm capable but no expert in HTML.) Is this possible in other versions?

    Your help is appreciated.

    June

     June,

    Welcome to the forum!

Shozam doesn't allow for what you want to do inside the program.

I don't think you really want to do that anyway.  You would be opening way too many windows and that is not going to make visitors happy.

If I get what you mean, I visit your site and select an album.  I view the first photo in Quickview then choose Large and view it in a new window.  Now, in that new window, I choose Next photo which should be Large.  Next, I choose Details on that photo and that opens another New window which means I now have 3 windows open on your gallery.

Now, I choose Intro from that window and select another album and choose the fourth photo to view.  When that photo comes up, I choose Large and now I have a fourth window open.

By this time, I am so confused that I just close all the windows and go away.

    Make sense?

There are times for new windows and times when it is unnecessary.

Thanks for your quick reply, Cowboy. And thanks for the welcome.

What I want to do is not open each photo in a new window. I want the link above the banner and the link to the right of the Gallery Title to open in new windows. I've got it working like that in the Intro page. But each Large view has its own html page and it seems I have to go to each page individually to make those changes.

I would think that the Banner and the links above the Banner would be one navigation bar that could be changed once and work throughout the gallery.

Do you know what I mean?

Your best bet would be to use the HTML tab at Step 5 in the Business Edition.  Create custom HTML for placement above the gallery and turn off the banner and spacing above it in your Customize tab.

    Similar to This

The Sleep Gallery logo and the nav bar right below it will appear on every page.  I have it set to go into the site in the same window but you could easily just open a link in a new window.

Something like that is probably what you want.
