Timing of individual Images in Slideshow

If this is possible with Shozam then please let me know. Any professional display of images tied to music has the slide show and music ending simultaniously. If we cannot time the music itself then we must time the individual images so as to end at the same time. Oh yes ... the slide show itself would have to end as well and not contimnuopusly "loop".

I don't know for sure but I think it may be possible, but not without editing a java script file. What I did manage to to (by editing) was to slow a transition time on photos by editing the slideshow.js file. Since it does list each photo so it can do the transition, timing etc. I think it may be possible to change the time each photo is displayed. Haven't really looked. Add your post to the Wish List forum. It's a good idea.

Tom is right about having to edit the code if you want to accomplish your idea.  Right now, the slideshow runs continuously in an album and doesn't stop at the end.  I think this has something to do with it being able to run through all albums if you start it at the intro.  So, if you have 5 albums, the sldieshow will run through all 5 if started at the intro page.

Regarding audio, you can stop it from looping at the Options tab in Step 3.  You could try modifying the duration time and having enough imgaes to match the length of the audio.

Maybe one day they will add an option to match album image duration transition to the actual length of the audio.

Re: Timing of individual Images in Slideshow

    Thanks Tom & Cowboy,

I'm a new user of Shozam and I'm glad I'm just not accessing the proper tab or something Huh?  My wife and I did a wedding last week and have 91 images. The background music gets about 3/4 through the show and then loops again. There is only "one" wedding album of course, but the last image comes up midway through the music.... and then, of course, the slide show "loops" itself in an endlessendless circle of images chasing the music. I've seen other photographer's displays of their work and they end with a final image with the music fading away.... very nice. You would think that there would be an easy way for the Shozam developers to allow users to set the display time for each image, thus allowing a particularly great shot to be viewed longer than some not so great ones, and then we could arrange the timing so that it ends with the music. You would also think it would be an easy thing to "stop" the show at a certain image. (I wish I knew javascript)

Matching the image transition duration to the actual length of the audio, as Cowboy suggests, would be the best scenario. This is an option in other programs such as "Proshow". I thought this "was" the wishlist forum Tom. I hope someone is watchingSmile  I'll take a look at the slideshow javascript file in Dreamweaver and see if there is anything I can do.

    Thanks for the feedback

I'm not sure where my head was at the time I posted but "yes" this is the wish list. Sorry about that. This is one area I wish the Shozam team would take a look at. I would definitely like more control over the slideshows. I'm quite happy with Shozam and mainly purchased it for other reasons than the slideshow itself but would like to see improvements on this part of Shozam. Maybe this will be something added in a future release.

Re: Timing of individual Images in Slideshow

    Hi,

I would like to be able to set the timing for the slideshow. I have pictures with text on them and people need time to read the text. The album comes up in the intro format, which is what I want. People who visit my site would not know enough to go to the slideshow to change the timing.

    Hope this can be developed.

    Thanks.

Hi, this feature has been developed and is already in the program; check the Image tab in Step 5.
