The Web Gallery Wizard Forum is for our customers who may have questions or comments about how Shozam might impact them. Following is a list of FAQs that you may be asking:
Will downloading Shozam! affect my Web Gallery Wizard galleries?
No. Shozam! installs as a separate program on your computer. It will not affect your Web Gallery Wizard program or any of the galleries generated by Web Gallery Wizard. Shozam! can "read" Web Gallery Wizard generated galleries, convert them and output them in the new Shozam format. It is best to have Shozam generate the converted Web Gallery Wizard galleries at a different location on your computer. This way you can have both Shozam and Web Gallery Wizard galleries available to you.
Why did you change the name to Shozam?
While many people liked the name "Web Gallery Wizard," including us, it was a bit too long and generic. And, although originally conceived as a major upgrade to Web Gallery Wizard, Shozam is an entirely new product, deserving of its own identity. We wanted something that was short, punchy, unique and memorable; but, it also needed to communicate the right message. Shozam is a play off of "Shazam," a magical transformation that you may remember from your comic book days. It infers fast, quick, in a flash. "Sho" alludes to showcase. The magical aspect of Shozam also has nice continuity with Web Gallery "Wizard."
What will happen to Web Gallery Wizard and Web Gallery Wizard PRO?
Shozam! is replacing all Web Gallery Wizard products, which will no longer be available to purchase. We will continue to provide support for our Web Gallery Wizard customers.
Can I import Web Gallery Wizard galleries into Shozam?
Yes. For best results, ensure you have the most recent version of Web Gallery Wizard (Version 1.5 build 3625.1). Also, be sure to save your new Shozam gallery under a different name, or a different location, so that you don't overwrite your Web Gallery Wizard gallery – in case you need it later.
If I create a Shozam! gallery with the Beta, will it be compatible with the final version?
A cautious "most likely." However, this is Beta software, and it can change. There are no guarantees, and you may need to rebuild your Beta generated gallery once the final version of Shozam is released.
When will the retail version be available?
Currently, Shozam will be on the market in late April. However, making sure the product is top-notch has always been more important than meeting deadlines. We will keep our customers up-to-date on product releases via the Shozam Community Web site.
