    New Gallery

I've only recently started on this but I am more and more pleased with Shozam each time I use it.

The pictures are absolutely beautiful. I didn't even notice the website, I just wanted to get to the pictures. Let us know when you post more.

WE have seen most of the lower 48. I would love to get to Alaska; such beauty.

Thank you. At this time I am continuously updating the gallery so there will be new photos for quite some time. Glad you liked my Alaska album.

    Take care,

Thank you labatts, Cowboy and Tom. My Alaska pictures are from the past three years or so. I hope to get out again soon & put some more recent photographs in my gallery. I appreciate your comments and compliments.

labattts, I am using the Business Edition of Shozam, although I think you can get similar results with most other versions.

    Thanks all & take care,

    Ron

    Ron.

I really enjoyed your gallery. I found the "Slightly Altered" gallery to be stimulating in a creative way, with "All Gussied Up" being the one that I liked best. It was a hard choice amongst so many imaginative photographs.

I look forward to seeing more.

    Re: New Gallery

    Ron,

Keep wandering back to your Alaska photos and wish I was there.

    Just a suggestion.

On your gallery pages where you use Sitemeter, log into your account and change the meter style to digits (12,345).  Keep the color black and font small.  That will improve the look of your gallery by getting rid of the Sitemeter logo.

You keep the stats private now and nobody is going to be able to see the count if you keep the font color black.  Use your server logs or Google Analytics to track your other pages.

Thank you spondoolix. Glad you enjoyed my altered images. All Gussied Up is probably my favorite of the lot also. It won first place it its class at the Alaska State Fair in 2006.

Thanks again for viewing my gallery.

I took your advice on the Sitemeter, Cowboy. Thank you. You're right, it does make the page look better.

    Ron,

I strongly support Cowboy's other recommendation about Google Analytics as well. It is worth looking into for in-depth log analytics, great visual display of the data and, best of all, can be had for free.

Here is a video tour of Google Analytics.

I second (uh, maybe third) the motion on the Google Analytics. Excellent stats on what's happening on your website.

Thanks for the tip on Google Analytics everybody. I will definitely check it out. I get a lot of information from Sitemeter but it sounds as if Google might offer more.

Also, I posted four more photographs in my Alaska Album last night if anyone is interested. Thanks again everyone. I really appreciate the interest you have given my site.

    Re: New Gallery

I've used Google Analytics to track other galleries but they were always in an Iframe. I'm building a larger gallery and using Shozam to build the entire site. So my question is, where is the best place in Shozam to insert the Analytics tracking code without having to  externally edit an HTM file?

    Thanks,

    Tom
